From keeping Googler’s safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resiliency Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop best in class programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The Protective Services team focuses on providing robust security strategies for Google events as well as providing global security management and logistics for Google employees. You possess Executive or Dignitary Protection (DP/EP) experience as well as significant experience organizing security planning and logistics of a non-security event, partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders and interfacing with senior executives and principals. The event security requirements include performing site assessments, advances, coordinating contract security personnel in partnership with site security and internal regional security managers, organizing access control as well as arrangements for high visibility attendees including employees and guests.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage safety and security resources for large scale events and/or Executive Protection tasks.
Serve as a liaison to executives and stakeholders for all matters regarding high risk/visibility travel or events.
Conduct audits and other research to identify process deficiencies, areas of improvement and efficiency for the team.
Travel up to 50% of the time worldwide in support of security operations for Google events and Googler personal security.
Develop relationships with domestic and international law enforcement and government counterparts, as well as private sector peers worldwide to help facilitate personal, travel and event security.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience in Executive/Dignitary Protection and/or experience in event security.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience analyzing intelligence and threat reports to determine the risk level to a location, event or person to scope resources appropriately.
Experience managing security for large global events and conducting physical security assessments.
Experience creating, planning and reviewing security operations documents.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and customer services skills, with the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
Ability to speak English and another European language fluently and idiomatically.
